Amanda Steele, Owner
BAS, LCCE, CPST, NCS, CLC

Amanda is passionate about helping and empowering mothers and their families through the journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. 

She is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula (DONA), and Child Passenger Safety Technician. 

 

Amanda received her Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Health Education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She has worked in the field of women’s health for several years.

Brittany Baker, Owner
BS

Brittany has a passion for mothers and believes women deserve the opportunity to have an empowered and supported birth and postpartum period.

Brittany is a trained Postpartum Doula (ProDoula) and Birth Doula (DONA, ProDoula).

Brittany studied Design Technology at Bemidji State University and worked in the Print Industry for several years before deciding to pursue entrepreneurship and #doulalife  after becoming pregnant with her second child.

Clarissa Herman
CPpD, CD, BAS, MA

Clarissa brings to MedCity Doulas 9+ years of multifaceted experience in sexuality, reproduction, advocacy, and education. She is queer- and trans-family inclusive and her practice is firmly rooted in non-judgmental, anti-oppressive, and holistic education and care. She enjoys working with a wide range of learners and families, and offers full-spectrum doula support for all birth outcomes. 


Clarissa began her career providing crisis counseling and advocacy for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. She moved into teaching sexuality education with the Red Cross and Minnesota AIDS Project and continued teaching and training during her service in the United States Peace Corps in Malawi. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts degree in Sexuality Studies, and is certified as a labor, postpartum, and homebirth doula with Cornerstone Doula Trainings as well as with the doula training program at San Francisco General Hospital. Currently, Clarissa is working toward certification as a birth and bereavement doula with StillBirthDay.

Danica Buss
BS, Certified Holistic Health Coach (AADP, IIN)

Danica’s passionate support for babies, mothers, and families is unwavering. She knows that the second you know of your child’s existence, you become a parent right then and there – and your life is forever changed. Your experience with pregnancy and birth will leave a lifelong impression on you and your family, and Danica makes sure you are supported and respected in your choices. 

 

Danica is a trained Birth Doula (ProDoula) and a Certified Holistic Health Coach (AADP and IIN). Danica has a Bachelor’s of Science (Teaching) degree for elementary and middle level education from Winona State University. In an array of ways, she’s always worked to support the health and well-being of families.

KatieAnn McKee
BSN, IBCLC, Certified HypnoBirthing practitioner

KatieAnn is a Registered Nurse at a local Birth Center. She has found a passion in further supporting new and expecting parent beyond what she does at the hospital. She strives to help families embrace the prenatal and postpartum stages with the support that they need.

KatieAnn is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner and Doula trained in birth and postpartum.

She received her Bachelors of Nursing through Viterbo University and has been supporting expectant parents and families for 10+ years.
